Half-day tour on the Salt River, by boat or canoe…
Discover an original tour in the heart of the Sablaise countryside, perfect for friends, colleagues, or even family. The tour includes a one-hour boat or canoe trip and a meeting with a salt worker who will give an authentic explanation of his craft.
Allow 2 hours for the visit.

La Balade à Mireille – Day trip
Take the time to discover the nature and culture of the Vendée without worrying about the logistics! We offer a comprehensive tour with a tailor-made program for your group outings.
- 11 am : Authentic encounter with the Sauniers (salt workers), explanation of their trade, and demonstration of salt harvesting. Sweet and savory tasting, access to the salt shop.
- 12:30 pm : Lunch at the restaurant “La Fleur de Sel”
- 2:30 pm : Guided boat trip on the saltwater river
- 3:45 pm : Free time in Les Sables d’Olonne
Leave by bike, return by boat
Visitors begin their day or afternoon with a guided bike ride through the enchanting surrounding countryside. Then, cyclists swap their bikes for a boat and embark on a captivating cruise through the salt marshes. Finally, they meet the salt worker, who explains his craft and demonstrates how salt is harvested. This transition between land and sea offers a unique perspective on local biodiversity and allows visitors to fully appreciate the region’s natural riches.
