The Bike Welcome Label
Because in this era of climate change, it is essential to prioritize emission-neutral travel. For your vacation, choose to travel by bike! Economical and practical, you will be able to enjoy Les Sables d’Olonne and its natural treasures that are inaccessible by car. You can reach our site via the bike path, and once there, you will find bike parking, a repair service, and a bike storage facility.
NATURA 2000
Located in a Natura 2000 area, protecting the habitats and species of Vendée’s biodiversity is essential to Les Salines. With this in mind, specially designated areas in the marshes allow birds to nest in peace.
There are therefore no permanent structures in the area; instead, there are removable and modular structures that have a much lower long-term impact on nature. All other structures in the area are made of wood and therefore do not have a negative impact on the environment.
ME-GO !
With a view to recycling and reusing waste, particularly the most polluting types, this year LES SALINES is calling on the company MÉGO! (and ENCOVA) to recycle all cigarette butts left on site. So you too can help protect the environment by disposing of your cigarette butts in the designated areas in our reception areas. They will then be recycled and reused to make street furniture.
DAILY LIFE
- Park maintenance: At the Sel Adventure Park, meet our cheerful tribe of Ouessan sheep! You can watch them grazing freely in the marsh. They help maintain part of our park in a sustainable and carbon-neutral way. In winter, they are left completely free in the park to maintain the entire site.
- Maintenance of the premises: At Les Salines, we try to use as many natural products as possible to maintain our premises, in particular white vinegar.
